Ramalley Pre-school
is privately run and has been established for over 30 years. It is situated
well away from the main road in a single story building. There is a secure outside garden to the
side of the building to which the children have all year round access,
together with a smaller secure patio area at the rear of the building. We provide activities and experiences that are planned to meet their individual stages of development within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We offer your child: - Individual care and attention made possible by a high ratio of adults to children - The support of a personal Key-Person - Fun and friendship with children and other adults.
Our continuous provision includes:
All of these activities are offered both indoors and outdoors
Snack Bar We operate a café style snack bar which opens at approx. 10am every morning and stays open until the last child has had their snack. A member of staff sits with the children during this time and it is a lovely time to sit with friends and have a chat as well as practicing good manners! The children are offered milk or water to drink and can choose from a choice of at least two snacks, which are different each day. Typical snacks include bread sticks, cheese, yoghurt, dried fruit eg. raisins, apricots, cranberries, cheese biscuits, fruit & vegetables eg. cucumber, carrots, apple, banana, oranges etc.
Lunch Club We offer you the opportunity for your child to attend a lunch club after the morning sessions Monday – Thursday between 12.15pm and 1pm at a small extra cost. Children need to bring a lunch box which includes an icepack. Suggestions for healthy lunches include sandwiches, yoghurts, fruit, cheese and a drink. We ask that you do not include anything containing nuts and, if possible, avoid sweets.
Settling in period A child who is tense or unhappy will not be able to play or learn properly so it is important for parents & pre-school staff to work together to help the child to feel confident and secure in the group. This can take longer for some children than for others and parents should not feel worried if their child takes a while to settle.
